EHS/WRHS TRACK: Hornets sprint into new season

Track and field athletes from White River and Enumclaw high schools got together March 16 for a little friendly competition.

The meet was seen as an early-season, nonleague tune-up and coaching staffs agreed they wouldn’t bother with keeping team scores. Individual finishes were tallied, though.

In boys’ competition, event winners were:

100 meters: Jason Greer, Enumclaw.

200 meters: Josh Miller, White River.

400 meters: Nate Lenhart, White River.

800 meters: Marcus Dickson, White River.

1,600 meters: Dickson, White River.

3,200 meters: Kody Gould, White River.

110-meter hurdles: Devin Liebel, White River.

300-meter hurdles: Liebel, White River.

400-meter relay: Enumclaw (Derek Forza, Zack Mason, Robby Johnson and Erik Van Hulse).

1,600-meter relay: White River (Lenhart, Liebel, Austin May and Marcus Dickson).

Shot put: Derek Forza, Enumclaw.

Discus: Kolton Carlson, Enumclaw.

Javelin: Kalen Green, White River.

High jump, Tyler Cash, White River.

Pole vault: Austin Shirey, White River.

Long jump: Zack Mason, Enumclaw.

Triple jump: James Mower, White River.

In girls’ events, individual winners were:

100 meters: Olivia Bannerot, Enumclaw.

200 meters: Alysa Aashiem, White River.

400 meters: Kennedy Hobert, White River.

800 meters: Chandler Weiman, Enumclaw.

1,600 meters: Hannah Calvert, Enumclaw.

3,200 meters: Lauryn Wate, White River.

100-meter hurdles: Jade Crawford, White River.

300-meter hurdles: Crawford, White River.

400-meter relay: Enumclaw (Bannerot, Angela Lindsey, Maria Blad and Becca Cross).

800-meter relay: White River (Aashiem, Johanna Coughlin, Hobert and Cassidy Kunst).

1,600-meter relay: Enumclaw (Calvert, Weiman, Emily Eilertson and Angela Lindsey).
