WRHS FASTPITCH: Weather wins battle

The White River High fastpitch squad began its season playing so well in early March that the only conceivable opponent that could cool it off, did.

The Hornets were slated to open South Puget Sound League 2A play by hosting Clover Park Thursday, but thanks to the foul elements the contest had to be postponed until the following afternoon.

Again the weather washed out the rescheduled affair, so White River did not play even one inning of softball all week.

The WRHS schedule for this week featured a road game with Steilacoom Monday and a home encounter against Washington on Tuesday.
