Rainier Plateau Junior Rugby off to state

Rainier Plateau Junior Rugby sewed up a spot in the state championships with a 62-10, home-field victory over Tacoma Saturday in Buckley.

The win secured the league title for the Plateau-based team, which finished the regular season with an unblemished record.

The team heads into the state championships with a semifinals contests May 14 and May 15 in Shelton.
