White River’s Kurtz heads to national tourney

White River High wrestler Trevor Kurtz will be part of Team Washington and compete at the ASICS/Vaughn Cadet/Junior Nationals in Fargo, N.D., in July.

Kurtz earned his spot on the team with a third-place finish as a cadet, wrestlers ages 14 to 16, at freestyle state wrestling in Mill Creek earlier this spring. Kurtz will train with the team on the Eastern Washington University campus.
