On June 26, the Mount Rainier Baseball Associations 10U All-Star team brought home the championship trophy at the King County Umpires Association June Classic Tournament at Game Farm Park in Auburn.

After going a perfect 3-0 Saturday and earning the No. 1 seed, the All-Stars continued their quest for the trophy with an explosive offense and aggressive tactics on the base paths, winning their final game 12-2. None of the other teams competing could answer the team’s dominating pitching and fundamentally sound defense. The talented group of 10-year-old ballplayers put 57 runs on the board in five games, and only allowed 14 runs to be scored against them.

At the same time, Mount Rainier’s 11U team was at The Spot Sport Summer Slam Series in Renton. The team racked up a perfect 4-0 record, winning the championship in fine fashion with a 2-0 final score.
