Sixth-grade Junior Hornets football edge Harpers Angels in season opener

The Junior Hornets battled Harpers Angels Saturday at the Enumclaw High practice field.

The fourth- and fifth-grade teams came out strong, but in the end lost the battle.

The sixth graders edged the Angels 14-12. Austin Rewoldt recovered a fumble with three minutes remaining to save the game.

The seventh-grade team lost.

The eighth-grade team, led by Austin Nelson, Travis Beard and Zak Carroll, won.

The Hornets are at home Sept. 10 against the Bulldogs at Pete’s Pool.
