EHS TENNIS: Enumclaw off to 3-0 start

Three matches, three wins for Enumclaw’s tennis team.
The Hornets started the week Sept. 6 with a 4-1 nonleague win over White River.
Singles Tyler McCarthy won in straight sets, while all three doubles teams – Dan Milat and Anthony Chynoweth, Landon Berry and Andrew Bass and Chris and Michael Williams scored victories.
The Hornets then topped Decatur Sept. 7 and Peninsula Friday, both with 3-2 scores.
Against the Gators, McCarthy and Austin Walsh earned singles wins. McCarthy posting a 6-2, 6-2 score, while Walsh won 8-6, 6-3.
Milat and Chynoweth scored the lone doubles victory in straight sets.
The pair also led the EHS doubles teams against the Seahawks. The two dropping a second-set tiebreaker before winning 6-1, 6-2. Berry and Bass won 6-4, 6-3 and the Williams duo paired up for an easy 6-0, 6-1 win.
