Billy Kiel led three Hornets in double-figure scoring Wednesday night as White River took a home court, 76-71 victory over Tumwater.

Kiel scored 25, Jason Tyler added 16 and Lyle McCarragher had 11 points. The trio more than offset Tumwater's Daniel Hinkle, who poured in a game-high 36

White River exploded in the middle frames, scoring 25 points in the second quarter and 28 in the third. Entering the fourth quarter with a 12-point advantage, the Hornets held off a Tumwater rally to win their season opener.
