EHS GIRLS WRESTLING: Lady Hornets sweep into regionals

Danielle Cormier, Jade Paterson and Sam Lanting earned individual championships as Enumclaw High swept to the team title Saturday at the Subregion 4 girls wrestling tournament at Auburn Mountainview.
The Hornets put 115.5 points on the board. Mount Tahoma finished with 75 and Foss, 74.
The top three finishers advance to the regional tournament Saturday at Emerald Ridge with the top five there advancing to the state tournament Feb. 17 and 18 at the Tacoma Dome.
Cormier won her 145-pound crown by pinning Wyatt Sailing of Evergreen.
Paterson captured the 170-pound title with a pin over Latiana Tamaese of Stadium.
Lanting had to top teammate KC Moulden for the 265-pound belt. Lanting got the upper hand with a 15-0 technical fall.
Logann Erskine also finished second for the Hornets. She fell to Kiaya Van Scoyoc of Lakes in the 155-pound championship final.
Hornets Jasmine Anderson, 106, and Kassandra Renfrow, 170, finished third.
Kristen Green finished sixth at 118 pounds.
