The Enumclaw high wrestling team showed its might Saturday with another Class 3A state championship. Competing at the Tacoma Dome, the Hornets outpaced second-place Yelm and third-place Bonney Lake.

The Hornets received an individual championship from Lucas Somera at 138 pounds, a second-place finish from Tyke Reid at 120 and third-place efforts from Justin Mitchell, 152, TJ Cormeir, 195, and Colton Malek, 220.

The Enumclaw High gymnastics team captured the Class 2A/3A state championship Friday at the Tacoma Dome exhibition hall.

It's just the second year for the Hornet program, which fell less than one point short of a state title a season ago. Friday's championship was convincing, the EHS more than 10 points ahead of second-place Columbia River.

The Hornets are competing for individual honors today, Saturday.
