The Enumclaw High boys wrestling team won the 3A state tournament Saturday night, passing Yelm and Bonney Lake after the medal round. It is the Hornets fourth title in five years. EHS lost to Yelm by five points in 2010.

Enumclaw had two wrestlers in the finals - juniors Tyke Reid and Lucas Somera.

Reid dropped a 4-1 decision to Bonney Lake nemesis Andrew Cunningham, while Somera, trailing 3-0, scored a second-round pin for his 138-pound title.

Hornets Justin Mitchell, TJ Cormier and Colten Malek finished third and Chris Williams took home seventh.

On the girls side, White River finished fourth as a team and EHS brought home the state academic title.

Enumclaw's Randy Oster, who is retiring, was also recognized during the finals ceremonies for his service as a high school wrestling referee.
