White River continues hot streak, beats Steilacoom | Baseball

White River traveled Wednesday to face league foe Steilacoom.
The Sentinels jumped to an early 1-0 lead thanks to a leadoff triple and then an error.
WR's junior pitcher Cole Johnson then bounced back to retire 15 in a row. He would allow only one hit while striking out 5 while walking none.
He also was 4-for-4 at the plate, with two doubles and an RBI.
Junior first baseman Ryan Bird hit a three-run homer un in the fifth inning.
Junior Catcher Zach McMillen added two hits with three RBI.
The Hornets are 8-2 at the halfway point of the 20-game South Puget Sund League 2A schedule.
Highline visits WRHS at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
