Hornet tennis team blanks Sentinels | White River tennis

The White River High girls had no trouble beating Steilacoom in prep tennis Friday, whipping the Sentinels 5-0.

Courtney Hall was an easy 6-0, 6-0 winner in No. 1 singles and Laura Miculinich took a 6-2, 6-3 win in the No. 2 slot.

In No. 1 doubles, Katie Durrant and Christina Ramous won 7-6, 7-5. At No. 2, the team of Mackenzie Reed and Audrey Fravel took a 6-1, 6-4 decision and, at No. 3, the pairing of Ashley Gibson and Regan Speyer dominated 6-0, 6-0.

Thursday was a different story, as White River came up short, losing 3-2 to Washington High.

Earning victories over the Patriots were Hall in No. 1 singles, by a 6-1, 6-0 score, and the No. 2 doubles pair of Durrant and Annie Shindle, who won 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
