Hornets earn No. 1 subdistrict seed | White River baseball

White River defeated Fife 2-1 Wednesday afternoon to secure the top seed into the weekend's subdistrict tournament.
The contest was played on neutral turf at Sumner High.
Hornet pitcher Cole Johnson was on top of his game, striking out 17 while scattering seven hits.
The Hornets got all they needed in the top of the first when Garrett Robertson doubled to score Johnson and Tanner Williams.
The Hornets secured the top seed into the subdistrict tournament that begins Friday at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds.
