Emerald Downs stable applications due Jan. 18 for training

Director of Racing Bret Anderson reminded horsemen that stall applications for the 2013 Emerald Downs race
meeting close Friday, Jan. 18.

Stall applications are available online at emeralddowns.com, while Anderson may be contacted at (253) 288-7751. Dates for the 2013 season, expected to be approved next month, will be similar to the 81-day 2012 meet that ran mid-April through September.

The stable area opens Friday, Feb. 1, and Track Superintendent Wayne Damron said the track would be open for training from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily.
