The White River basketball program invaded Orting Friday night. Showing no mercy, the Hornet boys and girls teams buried the Cardinals by a combined score of 149-39.

The girls played first, scored 17 of the game's first 20 points, then raced to a 75-8 victory.

The boys game was initially a different matter, as the teams played close during the early going. White River held a slim 16-15 lead after one quarter of play, then piled it on. The Hornets led 34-17 by halftime, increased the margin to 63-24 after three quarters and finished with a 74-31 decision.
