Gallant Son wins $50,000 Albany Stakes run at Golden Gate | Horse Racing

Gallant Son, trained by Enumclaw resident Frank Lucarelli, took the $50,000 Albany Stakes run at Golden Gate on Feb. 18 by 1 1/4 lengths.
The now seven-time stakes winner, who was Emerald Downs champion two-year-old male in 2008, has earned $438,328. The seven-year-old Kentucky-bred son of Malabar Gold-Explicitly is trained by Frank Lucarelli.
Finishing third in the six-furlong stakes was five-year-old Shrug, a son of Medaglia d'Oro out of stakes-placed Babeinthewoods, who is s daughter of Washington horse of the year Delicate Vine.
