Enumclaw High blasts Decatur 15-0 | MONDAY FASTPITCH

The following was provided by EHS fastpitch coach Mike Eckhart. He noted that EHS has outscored its opposition 53-2 during its past four games.

A superb effort by Chloe Young hoisted the Enumclaw Hornets varsity fastpitch team to a 15-0 win in five innings over Decatur's Golden Gators on Monday at Decatur High School.

Young struck out 12 and gave up just one hit over five shutout innings.

Ten runs in the first three innings helped Enumclaw blow out Decatur.  A sacrifice fly by Bri Schmidt and an error in the first inning and a three-run double by Molly Lamotte during the second inning helped the Hornets put runs on the hoard

Lamotte racked up three RBIs on two hits.

The Hornets added five rnore rune in the top ofthe third. Anna DeGroot kicked things off with a single, bringing horne Katie Carlson. That was followed up by Becky Forza's double, scoring Alicia Cassell.

The Hornets tacked on another four runs in the fourth. A double by Rechelle Dunn ignited tne offense, plating Carlson and Cassell. That was followed by Young's single, scoring Josie Wicks and Dunn.
