Adam Eilers promoted from assistant to head wrestling coach at Enumclaw High

NOTE: the following is a press release issued at 11 a.m. by the Enumclaw High athletics office.

Adam Eilers is from Olympia Washington, but he had the opportunity to spend many of his childhood years in various places in the United States and Germany during his high school years due to his father’s career in the United States Army.  He returned to Olympia, Washington for his senior year in 1996.  After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Central Washington University, he spent 3 years in San Jose, California coaching both middle school and high school football and wrestling.  While in San Jose he earned his Master’s Degree and administrative credential from San Jose State University.  He returned to Washington in 2004 and became part of Enumclaw’s wrestling coaching staff in 2005.


Since then Adam has helped the Hornets win a staggering 4 state team titles, 7 regional team titles and 7 league team titles.  He has also coached 59 state place winners including 11 state champions.


Adam and his wife Michelle live in Black Diamond with their 2 children.  Adam has been a Physical Education teacher at Dimmitt Middle school in the Renton School District for the last 9 years.  He has also coached Little League Baseball for the last 5 years here in Enumclaw.
