Enumclaw girls soccer ends season at district tournament | Slideshow

The Enumclaw High soccer team’s season came to a hard-fought close Saturday when the Hornets fell to the Peninsula Seahawks in a shootout.

The pair squared off at  Highline Stadium in a winner-to-state, loser-out contest as part of the bi-district tournament.

Enumclaw had defeated Peninsula twice during the regular season but couldn’t put the Seahawks away a third time.

The bi-district tourney had opened Thursday and included a lopsided victory by the Hornets. Enumclaw found the goal six times in a shutout win over Foss High at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.
