Enumclaw girls plan to take league champions for third year | Wrestling preview

The Enumclaw girls wrestling team has nine athletes. The team has won the South Puget Sound League championship for two consecutive years and took 14th at the state tournament.

Coach Jerry Scheidt wrote in an email, “We had two wrestlers place in state, Danielle Cormier 145 pounds, fourth, and KC Moulden 235, first. We return all but two who graduated last year (Kristen Green and Jade Paterson). The Hornets’ goal this year is to compete for another league title, get as many girls to state as possible and win a medal.”

Returning girls include seniors Chantal Capps, Danielle Cormier, juniors Raquel Cormier, Ally Smith and Moulden and sophomore Jaelen Hobert.

New to the team are  Joslin Pierotti, Laurel Zemke and Coretti-Fe’a.
