Enumclaw Hornets baseball tames the Lions | Baseball

Enumclaw High took a leap forward last week beating Auburn Mountainview on the road April 15.

The Hornets traveled to the Lions’ field and won 6-4, knocking Auburn Mountainview out of the top spot in the South Puget Sound League 3A.

Enumclaw has a 6-4 league record and is 8-6 overall.

The Hornets are scheduled to play Decatur twice this week. The first game was Tuesday, past the press deadline, and the second game begins at 4 p.m. Thursday on the road.

Postseason begins May 7 with the subdistrict tournament.

Against the Lions, Shayne Sanborn picked up the win.

Blake Hildebrand went 4-for-4 at the plate with one RBI, one double and scoring two runs.

Tyler St. John went 3-for-4, scoring two runs.
