The Spartans girls basketball team lost 58-30 at Clover Park Dec. 16 in a game that showed some solid team play for Sumner High.
Coach Callie Birklid said the girls played well as a team.
“We held them to two points in the third quarter,” Birklid said.
Angie Wagar-Sanchez was the high scorer for Sumner with 17 points and Kendal Thedan put in 16.
The Spartans game at home against Auburn Mountainview Friday was cancelled due to snow.
Sumner is scheduled to travel to Seattle Christian High for a 2 p.m. nonleague game Tuesday.
The Spartans next South Puget Sound League game is 7 p.m. Jan. 6 at Lakes.
