The icy, snowy weather conditions canceled White River High’s South Puget Sound League 3A wrestling match scheduled for Dec. 17 with Clover Park as well as its boys tournament at Yelm and its girls tournament at Rogers High Saturday.

The Hornets will now sit idle until Saturday’s Berserker Tournament at Curtis High and the Eastmont Tournament Jan. 3. White River returns to SPSL 3A action at 7 p.m. Jan. 7 with Enumclaw.

“We haven’t even got in a practice,” coach Joe Klein said. “It’s frustrating. We’re sitting here waiting for the weather.”

At press time, the Hornets’ match with Clover Park had not been rescheduled. Klein said those tournaments that were canceled will likely not be made up.
