Lovelace leads WRHS

Backed by Sam Lovelace’s championship, the White River High girls wrestling team captured fifth place out of 20 teams at the Elma tournament Saturday.

Hornet teammate Ashley Orr finished second. Kandie Kujawa placed fifth for White River and Mercedes Jones and Daniel Garner were sixth.

The Hornets are scheduled to face Enumclaw in dual meet action tonight, Wednesday, in Buckley and then face Bonney Lake Thursday before heading to Kelso, Wash., for dual match action Friday and a tournament Saturday.
