The Bonney Lake Panthers fought the good fight last week on the hardwood, but the team was unable to come up with its first South Puget Sound League victory.
The Bonney Lake boys lost to Lakes 77-48 on the road Saturday in a makeup game that was postponed from Dec. 18 due to a snow storm.
The Panthers fell to White River 61-49 at home Friday.
Bonney Lake hosted Franklin Pierce Jan. 6 and took the Cardinals into overtime before losing 76-69.
The Panthers were scheduled to play a nonleague game against Timberline Monday. Scores were not available.
Bonney Lake will host district rival Sumner at 7 p.m. Friday.
In the Lakes game, Panther Chad Marquez led the scoring with 13 points and Hunter Colegrove added 10.
Coach John Hofstrand said the team has been “hanging in and playing hard. We are looking forward to the second half of the season.”
