SHS sets more district times

The Sumner High Spartans lost to the Enumclaw Hornets Jan. 6 by a score of 100-85 and had swimmers meeting district times in several events.

Sumner earned a district time of 1 minute, 54.21 seconds in the 200-yard medley relay. In the 50 freestyle, Zach Morrison earned a time of 24.52, qualifying for districts.

In the 100 freestyle, Morrison earned his second district time of 54.87.

Alex Ekstrom qualified for districts in two events, the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.74 and the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:07:99. Also in the breaststroke, Kevin Warren earned a time of 1:22.65.

Conner Powers earned a district time of 5:44:20 for the 500 freestyle and Zane Gustafson earned a time of 5:58.53.

Gustafson also swam the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:16.82.

Powers received a time of 2:18.67 in the 200 individual medley and Warren earned a time of 2:42.26.

The Spartans qualified for districts in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:43:03.
