Bonney Lake High tennis coach Billy Jacobsen said the upcoming season will be a showcase for several skilled players.

“Alise McCoy is going to be a very good player and I have some very reliable players in Katie Barrie, Emily Peiss and Kayla Babcock, who is in her fourth year of playing on varsity here at Bonney Lake,” Jacobsen wrote in an e-mail.

He stated he has no tournament players this season, but the team is likely to compete well with a roster including freshmen Kelsey Kober and McCoy, sophomores Kelli Hoffman, Beverly Kobe, Jessica Roller and Peiss, juniors Emily McCoy, Barrie and Ashely Reisen, and senior Babcock.

Jacobsen said his team is likely to excel in the doubles competition.

“Overall this is a very pleasant, easy going and hard working team,” Jacobsen said. “I’m looking forward to having a fun season with these girls.”

The team’s first match of the season is March 18 against Franklin Pierce.
