Jessica Lindner sprints her leg of White River High School’s 200-meter relay while Michael Madden and Nate Lenhart successfully complete a handoff in the boys 200 relay. The Hornets found success March 25 against Bonney Lake and North Thurston and then again Saturday at the Kent-Meridian Invitational at French Field, where they competed with more than 30 teams. Both of White River’s 200 relay teams, girls and boys, finished fifth Saturday. The Hornets are idle due to spring break, but return to action April 9 at Enumclaw, where Yelm will also join the two teams. More details regarding Saturday’s meet are on page C5.
