After suffering some tough early-season defeats, the Enumclaw High girls will take a few days off for spring break before jumping back into the fastpitch wars.

The Hornets will play three times in five days next week, beginning with a Tuesday contest at Lakes High. EHS will also play April 8, a home game against Franklin Pierce, before traveling to White River April 10.

The EHS crew played twice this week, at Clover Park Monday and at home against Auburn Mountainview Tuesday. Results of both games came too late to be included here, but will be posted at www.courierherald.com.

The Hornets had no luck on their home field Thursday afternoon, losing 3-0 to Bonney Lake. The Panthers’ Caitlin Colvin threw a no-hitter at Enumclaw and, offensively, gave herself all the run support she would need, drilling a second-inning homer over the centerfield fence.
