Hines lifts judo team to victory

A final heavyweight win by Erik Hines lifted the Enumclaw High judo team over Kentlake in its season opening match.

Hines victory boosted the Hornets to a 70-60 win over Kentlake. Kent-Meridian, the other school in the three-way meet that took place during spring break, nipped the Hornets 65-60. Kent-Meridian also defeated Kentlake 80-60.

The judo team will get another shot at Kent-Meridian Tuesday as well as defending state champion Kentridge and Todd Beamer.
