Sumner tied for third place

It was the first league tie and the third for the Spartans this season.

The teams battled to a scoreless first half. Hoyt scored his goal in the first minute of play in the second half, then Schmuck scored his goal in the 55th minute of play.

Sumner plays Friday at Enumclaw and at Franklin Pierce Tuesday.
