Johnson, Norris finish second at track meet

The Sumner High boys and girls competed at the 29th annual Tacoma Invitational Saturday at Lincoln Bowl.

The boys finished 23rd, while the girls were 24th.

Kevin Johnson finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 11 feet, 9 inches.

Hillary Norris placed second in the 1,600-meter run in 5 minutes, 14.65 seconds.

The Spartans travel to Yelm Friday for a nonleague dual meet.
