White River’s volleyball squad is off to an 0-4 start, but is making progress daily, according to new coach Stryder Argo.

“I know we have the po-tential to win games because in each of our losses last week, we took the matches to five games,” he said. “We just have to take it to the next level and start winning some of those critical sudden death matches and win more games, period. I see promise in this team, though.”

Argo believes his squad will be ready to square off against Timberline High Thursday night after enjoying a bye on Tuesday.

The Hornets will begin their season in earnest Tuesday when they travel to Franklin Pierce to play their first South Puget Sound League 3A match.
