PEE WEE FOOTBALL: Wolfpack weathers Benson Bruins
In a rainy game filled with fumbles, the Wolfpack Pee Wee team went to Renton Stadium, faced the Benson Bruins and found a way to win 19-6 – making it three road wins in a row for the Wolfpack. The defense was lead by Teddy DeSilva, Nick Farman and Cody Childs. Notable performers on offense were by Jake Rosario with two touchdowns and Tysen Fischlin and Cole Holt in the passing game.
The Midgets shut out Benson 26-0. The Midgets recovered an onside kick on the opening kickoff and never looked back. A highlight came on a fourth-and-15 situation when Robert Combs scored on a 30-yard quick toss. Christian Parsons and Travis Mayer both caught TD passes. Tristen Weddington caught an extra point from Palani Adams. The Midgets improve their record to 2-1.
The Valley Wolfpack Bantams also made it three straight on the road with an 18-12 win. Dillon Jordan had a good day, rushing for close to 100 yards and one touchdown. Kyler Ooley also added a touchdown and Trevor Kurtz made his way into the end zone as well.
It was a tough loss for the Sweet Peas to the Bruins 30-13. Cayman John scored both the touchdowns for the Wolfpack.
The Valley Wolfpack 89ers lost a tough defensive battle 7-6. After two scoreless quarters, the Wolfpack scored on a McKenna Ooley touchdown run. Late in the fourth quarter, the Bruins converted a fourth-and-15 which eventually lead to a touchdown and extra point for the win.
The Wolfpack host its home opener with the Enumclaw Wolverines Sunday.
