Jordan Beals earned medalist honors with a 2-under par 33 at Enumclaw Sept. 22, but it wasn’t enough to boost Enumclaw High past Peninsula in a 89-86 loss to the South Puget Sound League 3A rival. But the EHS senior and fellow senior teammate Jake Erickson rebounded to share medalist honors with 1-over par 36 performances at Tapps Island Golf Course in an 85-53 league win over White River Thursday.

Against Peninsula, Beals, who shot three birdies, earned 20 points for EHS. Teammate Tyler Salsbury finished one stroke and one point behind. Colton McCluskey earned 14 points in the Hornets’ effort with a 39.

In play with White River, Erickson birdied Hole 3, while Beals birdied the sixth hole to both earn 17 team points. Salsbury and Tim Livermore both finished at 38 for 15 points each. McCluskey earned 13 points with a 40-stroke game and Kyle McCormack finished at 45.

The Hornets, 4-1 in league, were scheduled to host Bonney Lake Tuesday, results can be found at www.courierherald.com, and are at Yelm Thursday. Tee time is 3:15 p.m.
