The outcome didn’t count toward the South Puget Sound League 3A soccer standings when Enumclaw High and Sumner battled to a scoreless tie.

But one week makes a world of difference and it will be a league battle Thursday at 3:30 p.m. when the Hornets host Sumner at the Southwood field.

The Enumclaw girls played an SPSL 3A game earlier, traveling to Auburn Mountainview Tuesday; results came too late but will be posted at www.courierherald.com.

There was certainly no drama Sept. 29 when the Hornets hit the road for a nonleague tussle with Timberline. Caitline Plese struck twice for EHS and also scoring goals were Dani Streuli, Claire Meeks, Noelle Bauer, Alicia Tomaso, Emily Meeks and Erin McCrillis.
