Tyler Salsbury set an Enumclaw High boys golf course record with a 4-under par 32 at Tahoma Valley Golf and Country Club in Yelm Thursday. The Hornets won the nonleague contest with a 181-211 stoke total, or 99-61 point total.
Jordan Beals was three strokes behind his teammate at 35. Colton McCluskey finished at 37, followed by Tim Livermore, 38, and Jake Erickson, 39.
Beals, Salsbury and David Smith posted 1-over par 36 scores in a three-way tie for medalist honors in a 93-33 win over Bonney Lake Sept. 28 on the Hornets’ home course. All three tallied 17 points toward EHS’s team score. Livermore and Erickson were two strokes behind at 38 for 16 and 15, points respectively. McCluskey rounded out the scoring at 42 for 11 points.
The 7-1 Hornets close out the regular season with a league match Thursday afternoon at Lakes. Monday, Enumclaw junior varsity players get a shot at qualifying for the Oct. 15 SPSL 3A medalist tournament at Fort Lewis.
