The White River High boys tennis team sat and watched it rain as the league and subdistrict meets scheduled for Oct. 13, Thursday and Saturday were postponed.

According to coach Jason Swaser, the Hornets finished up doubles play but were trying to close out singles action Monday or Tuesday. Results were too late to be published here, but look for them at www.courierherald.com.

White River’s doubles teams were hit by illness and did not do well, Swaser said.

In the Hornets’ final regular season contest, Steven Root, trying his hand at singles, won 7-6 (7-1), 6-4 over Landon Berry of Enumclaw in White River’s 4-1 loss Oct. 12 to the league champion Enumclaw.
