The White River High Hornets wrapped up the South Puget Sound League 3A soccer season with a 4-1 defeat Thursday afternoon at the hands of playoff-bound Enumclaw High.

White River finished its first season under coach Charlie Carlier with a 2-6-0 mark in league play and were 5-8-1 overall.

Thursday’s season finale, played on the White River campus, saw the cross-river rivals tied at intermission. Enumclaw’s Erin McCrillis found the goal early and White River answered with a goal by sophomore Cassidy France.

After halftime, the game belonged to Enumclaw. Claire Meeks scored twice early in the half and Alicia Tomaso added a goal in the 66th minute.

White River opened the final week of the season with a 1-0 loss Oct. 27 at Sumner High.
