SLIDESHOW: WRHS GIRLS WRESTLING: Lady Hornets pull off sixth-place finish

Sam Lovelace’s second-place finish led the White River High girls wrestling team to a sixth-place finish Saturday at the Kelso tournament.
Lovelace faced Tiffany Hu of Union High in the final.
The Hornets’ Jesslyn Blue finished third, while teammates Mikaela Kilcup and Sam Mitchell were fourth and Dylan Fagan fifth. Kamyriah Padgett, Kylie Englebert and Nicole Crain also wrestled for the Hornets. Kilcup faced Katrynia Todd of Auburn and Mitchell went up against Jessy Christensen of Rogers.
Lovelace was also a winner over Maranda Long during action with Enumclaw Jan. 6. Fagan was also a winner.
The Hornets are scheduled to wrestle against Peninsula tonight, Wednesday, in South Puget Sound League 3A action.
