Kamyriah Padgett went solo for White River High’s girls wrestling team and brought home a fourth-place finish and a 15th-place team finish Saturday at the Impromptu Tournament in Fife. Warden High of eastern Washington won the tournament.

As the end of the season nears and Hornets are approaching match-count cutoff numbers, Hornet coaches gave much of the team a rest, but the 171-pound Padgett represented the team well.

The Hornets return to the mat tonight, Wednesday, at Lakes and host Peninsula High Thursday before heading to Emerald Ridge Saturday for another tournament.
