The Enumclaw High girls basketball bunch fell to 2-12 on the nearly-completed season when they visited Auburn Mountainview Feb. 2 and lost 61-29.

Thursday, Enumclaw hosted and lost to a resurgent Lakes team 64-33.

Against Mountainview – which was led by the 14 points from talented 6-foot, 2-inch senior post Stephanie Smolinski – Enumclaw did not have a player anywhere close to double digits.

Against Lakes, consistent senior guard Hayley Kohler put together a productive 12-point scoring night.

Enumclaw made a Tuesday trip to Franklin Pierce to face a Cardinal crew that owned an identical league record to Enumclaw’s; results came too late to report here but will be posted at www.courierherald.com.

Things get tough in Friday’s season finale, as Enumclaw travels to face league-leading White River, which is looking to hold on to its top ranking and sail into the playoffs as the No. 1 seed from the SPSL 3A.

Tipoff is slated for 5:15 p.m., just prior to the boys’ 7:15 p.m. contest.
