“We’re trying to catch up where we left off,” Enumclaw High girls tennis coach Rick Carel said.

Indeed the defending South Puget Sound League 3A Hornets are headed in the right direction, opening the season with nonleague victories over Capital and Yelm.

The Hornets defeated Yelm 4-1 March 17 and topped Capital 3-2 Friday.

Enumclaw was scheduled to jump into league play Tuesday at home with Peninsula and will travel to Sumner Thursday to face the Spartans.
