Enumclaw High has won big this season, compiling a South Puget Sound League 3A record of 3-1.

The Hornets beat Yelm 22-2, Peninsula 11-4 and Clover Park 25-4, cranking out 58 runs off of 43 hits, also benefitting from numerous walks.

The Hornets have also been bolstered by a bevy of strong junior pitchers’ displays on the mound. Among the young guns that got credit for the three wins last week were Levi Gooden, who snuffed out Yelm’s Tornadoes, Marcus Madden credited with a gutsy midweek road victory against Peninsula and Kurt Kindsvater collecting the win with great hit support in the onslaught over Clover Park.

Winless Clover Park was simply overwhelmed under the lights of Osborne Field Friday evening, as in the lengthy first frame of the contest Enumclaw senior catcher Grant Hathaway clobbered a grand slam to chase the Warriors’ starting pitcher from the game.
