Fastpitch: White River evens its record

White River High’s fastpitch crew played one game against Bonney Lake, which was an undefeated 7-0 in South Puget Sound League 3A play. The encounter was a make up game on the Panthers’ muddy diamond Thursday.

There were 27 hits in the match-up in which Bonney Lake emerged the 9-5 victor.

By the fifth inning Bonney Lake held a 5-1 upper hand. The Hornets threatened, scoring three runs with a barrage of hits and walks.

WRHS’s Samantha Mitchell hit a home run early in the game. The Hornets slipped to 1-4 and 2-4 overall.
