SLIDESHOW: Water Polo: Bowden cranks up Enumclaw scoring

Behind the six-goal performance of Lindsay Bowden and the four goals of Ali Ballard, the Enumclaw High girls water polo team beat Emerald Ridge 13-11 April 12 at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center and then followed it up with a 16-2 victory over Auburn April 14, a 19-5 victory over Peninsula Friday and an 11-4 loss to Gig Harbor Saturday.

In the Hornets’ match with Emerald Ridge, Erin Stucker added two more goals for the Hornets, while Rachel Deonigi capped the scoring with another.

Bowden scored seven goals in the team’s victory over Auburn. Hornet teammate Ballard added three more. Kelsey Sonneson and Stucker each chipped in two goals and Annie Birklid and Rose Johnson scored one apiece.

In Friday’s victory, Bowden again led the scoring with seven goals with Ballard hot on her heels with six. Deonigi slammed in three more, while Sonneson, Stucker and Breanna Flaquinti each added a goal.

Stucker and Bowden scored two goals each in Saturday’s loss.
