White River baseball hangs on to league’s second

White River baseball hosted Lakes to an 8-0 whitewashing April 20. Tyson Erickson has proven to be a valuable commodity on the mound, as he spread three hits in the shutout, his fifth victory of the campaign.
Connor Williams went 4 for 4 from the plate, stealing two bases and scoring three times. Both Michael Anastasi and Payden Cawley-Lamb went 2 for 3 from the dish, Anastasi driving in three runs and Cawley-Lamb pilfering three bases and scoring three runs as well.
WRHS lost 6-0 to Franklin Pierce April 21. The Hornets were held to four hits and committed two errors in the ill-fated tilt.
The Hornets and Franklin Pierce sat in a deadlock for second place in the league with 9-4 league marks.
