Judo club winners prepare for state

Ki Haku Judo Club of Enumclaw competed at the Seattle Dojo Tournament Saturday and Sunday. Malae Willis took second place in his first tournament in the 8-and younger division. Logan Thomas finished third in his 10-and younger division.

Several Enumclaw High players competed in preparation for the state championships May 8 at Kentridge High School. Competition begins at 10 a.m.

Logan Pacey and Krystin Schlager placed second and third, respectively in the girls 16-and-younger division. Sarah Thomas moved up a division and place third in the Senior Womens Novice Middle Division. Jade Paterson won her division and then moved up to the Senior Womens Novice Heavy Division and won.

White River’s Gavin Severson won also his division and then moved up to the Senior Mens Novice Middle Division and placed second.
