The Enumclaw High Hornets moved up the South Puget Sound League 3A soccer standings last week, registering a pair of shutout victories.

With a 4-0 triumph over Clover Park April 27 and a 2-0 win against Lakes Friday, the Hornets improved to 3-2-1 in league play and found themselves firmly lodged in fourth place, gearing up for postseason play.

Enumclaw played league game No. 7 Tuesday, hosting the fifth-place Peninsula Seahawks, and will wrap up the regular season Friday by traveling to White River.

The victory over Clover Park saw Hornet goals scored by Luke Andrew, Dylan Riley, Nick Russell and M.J. Dvorak. Against Lakes, it was Riley and Dvorak finding the net.

Nino Averill recorded the shutout in goal in both contests.
